Itinerary
Day 1: Watamu to Tsavo East National Park
5:00 AM – Departure from your Watamu resort by safari jeep towards Tsavo East. 9:30 AM – Entry through Sala Gate and begin your morning game drive to spot the famous red-dusted elephants and lions. 1:00 PM – Check-in and lunch at the lodge or tented camp. 4:00 PM – Afternoon game drive near the Galana River until sunset. Evening – Return for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 2: Tsavo East to Amboseli National Park
6:30 AM – Watch the early sunrise over the savannah on a short game drive, followed by breakfast. 9:30 AM – Depart Tsavo East and travel towards Amboseli National Park, arriving at noon. 1:00 PM – Check-in and lunch at your camp. 4:00 PM – Afternoon game drive with views of Mount Kilimanjaro (weather permitting) and large herds of elephants. Evening – Return for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 3: Amboseli to Tsavo West National Park
6:00 AM – Early morning game drive in Amboseli to see Mount Kilimanjaro before the clouds gather. 9:00 AM – Breakfast, departure from the park, and approximately 3 hours (200 km) drive to Tsavo West National Park. 12:30 PM – Arrival and check-in for lunch at your lodge. 4:00 PM – Visit Mzima Springs to see hippos and crocodiles underwater, followed by an evening game drive. Optional – Guided night game drive available. Evening – Return for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 4: Tsavo West to Watamu
6:30 AM – Morning game drive to spot lions, zebras, and giraffes. 9:30 AM – Check-out after breakfast and departure from the park. 1:00 PM – Lunch break en route along the Mombasa-Nairobi highway. 5:00 PM – Return to your resort or hotel in Watamu.
